A Writer's Life | Writing Tips
One of the most common questions I get as a writer is how do I balance it all? We all have so much going on in our lives. Responsibilities. Desires. Hopes. It’s a lot, isn’t it?
I definitely feel that, along with the pressure of wanting to make sure I’m reaching my goals, making everyone happy, and still taking care of myself and my family along the way. And the truth is, balance at all times in all areas is probably impossible. Instead, I am learning to aim for progress and joy. Today, I’m sharing a full Day-In-My-Life example of how I’m balancing things during my writer reset. Watch now.
Thank you for all of the kind messages and comments about the Writer Reset. It seems so many of us have been having a tough time finding that spark again. Thank you for being on this journey with me!
As for CampNaNoWriMo, it’s not going to be a win for me this month. I know there are still a couple of days left, but as you’ll see in the video, I’m slowing down and working on the plot instead of trying to cut corners and rush myself. I made it to about 7500 words, and I may try to get to 10,000, but I won’t hit the 20,000 I had aimed for at the start of the month.
And you know what? It’s all okay. The joy is growing. The words will come. The rest is timing.
I hope you had a great month in April, and I’ll see you in the May Notebook Challenge coming up next week! Have a great weekend.
I have been self-publishing my books since 2010, and in that time, I've sold well over half a million copies of my books. I'm not a superstar or a huge bestseller, but I have built an amazing career that brings me great joy. Here at Heart Breathings, I hope to help you find that same level of success. Let's do this.
