Hey, everyone! I hope you are doing well and staying safe during this time. It’s been a rollercoaster for me, and I’ve honestly just had one of the most fun experiences with my writing this past month.
In today’s video, I’m sharing how I won Camp NaNoWriMo with a brand new style of writing project, what tips I think will be useful for anyone looking to write a lot in a month, and the cons of this type of fast writing.
For the record, I wrote over 69,000 words in April. It completely shocked me, to be honest, because as most of you know, I’ve been struggling to write at all for nearly a year and a half.
So, how did I do it? Am I glad I did it? Watch today’s video to find out!
If you participated in Camp this year, I’d love to hear how you did! Please comment below or over on YouTube to let me know how it went!
This was definitely a fun project for me, but as you can see, it isn’t the kind of thing I could do very often. I would much rather be writing consistently in a more sustainable way, but in the end, I had so much fun writing The Witch’s Key and reading it out loud.
I’m looking forward to Season Two, but I’ll be doing things a little differently. More on that later!
I’m excited to announce that my friend Adrienne Mishel has created some awesome HB90 Method-inspired stickers. This is such a dream come true for me to have actual branded HB90 Stickers, and she did such a great job making them both adorable and functional.
Check out her Etsy shop, Procrastiplanner, Etc. to buy your stickers!
I’m currently working on a brand new set of videos on How To Write A Series, so look for news on when that will start, as well as when we’ll be having our 30k Q&A event on YouTube soon.
In the meantime, I hope you are staying safe and taking care of yourself. Sending my love,
Sarra
I have been self-publishing my books since 2010, and in that time, I've sold well over half a million copies of my books. I'm not a superstar or a huge bestseller, but I have built an amazing career that brings me great joy. Here at Heart Breathings, I hope to help you find that same level of success. Let's do this.
