I’m back after a short break to focus on my Publish And Thrive course, moving into a new house, and getting life ready for baby, so I figured it was the perfect time to talk about how to achieve your goals when you’re busy.
Busy has been the name of the game for me over the past five or six week, to put it lightly! It’s possible you’ve been in a similar situation this summer if your kids are home from school or you’ve had a lot of vacations or activities going on.
Or, maybe you’re moving into a really busy season in your life right now as you go back to school or start a new job, move to a new house, or any number of reasons.
So, how do you continue to move toward your goals and your dream life, even when you’re ridiculously busy? Watch today’s video for my top tips.
Tip #1: Analyze Your Time
Tip #2: Identify Pockets of Time You Do Have To Work On Your Goals
Tip #3: Make A List of Activities That Refill Your Creative Well
Tip #4: Laser Focus On The One Thing That Will Move Your Main Goal Forward (Then Split Your Time Between That Goal And Refill The Well Activities)
Tip #5: Surrender To The Season Of Life You Are In
I hope this list of tips has helped you identify ways you can still work toward your goals when you’re super busy. It doesn’t have to be huge leaps at times like this. All you need to do is make baby steps, because even small amounts of daily action can lead to huge results over time.
I’d love to hear what goal you are currently working toward. Comment below and let me know your goals and what’s been keeping you so busy lately!
I have been self-publishing my books since 2010, and in that time, I've sold well over half a million copies of my books. I'm not a superstar or a huge bestseller, but I have built an amazing career that brings me great joy. Here at Heart Breathings, I hope to help you find that same level of success. Let's do this.
Hi Sarra, Just discovered your channel and have been binging all the videos. π Thanks so much for your honest and interesting take on self-publishing. I’m still in the beginning stages but it’s so encouraging how many experienced indie authors are willing to share what they’ve learned and help others along. Specially liked the part in this video about focusing in on what will get your goal moving. It’s easy to fall prey to scattered thoughts when there’s so much to keep track of, but sometimes all you need to do is take one action and things fall into place. Wishing you a comfortable and safe birth experience! π
