Meal Planning For NaNoWriMo And Other Writing Deadlines

A Writer's Life

Can you believe it’s almost November? I feel like October has flown by, and it’s already time for our final Preptober video of the year. Today, we’re going to talk about how to schedule and plan your meals in order to help take some of the stress and decision-making out of the eating process.

I know it can seem like such a simple thing, but for many of us, deciding every day what to eat, taking time out to run back to the store to pick up something we forgot, or planning too many elaborate meals that will take a long time to eat can actually eat away at our writing time.

Whenever I’m on a major deadline like NaNo or rushing to meet a preorder, I follow this same process. I get simple with my meals, I decide on meals for a month or so in advance, and I make sure to let everyone in my household know what to expect for the duration.

You can find these planning pages toward the back of your Preptober planner.

Okay, so let’s take a look at my meal planning tips for NaNo.

I sincerely hope these tips throughout the month have been helpful for you. I honestly can’t believe we’re already just a handful of days away from NaNo2021! I don’t feel like I’m fully ready, but I’m going to spend the next few days (between Disney visits) getting everything prepared for this writing marathon.

I’ll be posting the NaNoWriMo Diaries again this year, which is a series of daily vlog updates. Be sure to subscribe to my channel and follow along for the month! Even if just to know you’re not alone. We’re all in this together, and I believe in you!

See you in just a few days for the first NaNoWriMo Diaries video of 2021!!
